The Bookworm
The Bookworm Review
Housed in a freestanding, terraced, canal-side town house, this is the perfect (and only) place in Suzhou to peruse thousands of English language books and magazines while sipping on imported wines and beer. This café/restaurant/bar/library plays host to a diverse range of international and local authors, scholars, and journalists. Check out the well-maintained Web site for a calendar of current events, author talks, book signings, and monthly specials. Travel guidebooks, international magazines, and some select books also available for sale. The space fills up at night and becomes more of a bar.
