Train Travel
China's excellent rail system is probably your best bet for getting around this region. The distances aren't quite long enough for air travel, and trains offer a greater variety of departure times and destinations. Tickets can be purchased either through your hotel, which is strongly recommended, or at the station, although the lines are long and vendors can be curt with non-Chinese speakers.
