Huang Ting (Huángting)

Huang Ting (Huángting) Review

Beijing's traditional courtyard houses, facing extinction as entire neighborhoods are demolished to make way for high-rises, provide an exquisite setting here. The walls are constructed from original hutong bricks taken from centuries-old courtyard houses that have been destroyed. This is arguably one of Beijing's best Cantonese restaurants, serving southern favorites such as braised shark fin with crab meat and seared abalone with seafood, as well as a classic Peking duck. The dim sum is delicate and refined, and the deep-fried taro spring rolls and steamed pork buns are not to be missed.
