$-$$$, Vietnamese, Central
Fodor's Review:
It's touristy and it caters to westerners, but this second-floor Vietnamese restaurant in the heart of the Lan Kwai Fong nightstrip is fun, too, transporting you to a French plantation veranda in colonial Indochina, surrounded by old maps, antique fans, and lamps. Most of the spices used are imported from Vietnam, even if they're employed less liberally than they would be over there. Highlights include soft-shell crab, grilled beef salad, and fried fish Hanoi style (using northern spices). Unfortunately, in classic LKF form, service is distracted, sometimes even rude -- maybe they're sick of listening to all the raucous foreigners.
