The best food in Hong Kong can hide out in the dingiest storefronts, and nowhere is this more true than at Hay Hay, a restaurant whose business card contains not a word of English. Surprisingly, though, there's an English menu lurking somewhere in the back office, but you shouldn't bother with it. Instead, just point to what looks good on other tables -- it's likely to be a delicious plate of rice, sweet, tender roast goose or pork, and greens; or an exemplary noodle soup with slices of roast meat resting on top. Apply the hot sauce liberally, and don't expect the staff to speak a word of English.
