Mid-Levels Escalators

Mid-Levels Escalators Review

The unimaginatively named Mid-Levels district is midway up the hill between Victoria Peak and the Western and Central districts. Running through it is the escalator, which connects the now-defunct Central Market (at the border of Central and Western) with several main residential roads. Free of charge and protected from the elements, this series of moving walkways makes the uphill journey a cinch. Before 10 am they move only downward, carrying workers bearing coffee to work.
