Unpretentious Thai fare at moderate prices has earned this restaurant a loyal expat clientele. Customers flock to the tree-shaded patio to savor such favorites as green and red curries (on the spicy side) and stir-fried rice noodles with chicken (on the tame side). The appetizers are all first-rate, especially the crispy spring rolls and samosas. The wine list includes a half-dozen bottles under Y200 ($25), a rarity in Shanghai. The branch in Xintiandi is a bit noisier but features the same great food and prices.

The food was excellent. The restaurant was very busy and a bit crowded. Service wasn't wonderful, but the food was fantastic. Nice change from Chinese food
