Hidden away down a little lane off Huashan Road, AFP has the kind of terrace space that most Shanghai-restaurant owners can only dream of: spacious, tranquil, yet intimate. It is a must for those hot afternoons and evenings in Shanghai when you need a break from shopping and sightseeing, and deserve some good food and good drinks. We recommend being adventurous; try the caviar blinis and Tuna-ba-lulla (a large portion of excellently prepared tuna) if you like seafood, or the 300 T (300 grams of tenderloin) for a carnivorous treat. The menu is fresh and there is plenty to satisfy any tastes. AFP has an on-site bakery, and serves breakfast every morning.

Bottom line is I don't really like AFP. I've been there a few times, most recently because I had a coupon, and have always come away saying I'll never go back. It tries very hard to be trendy and cool but maybe they should focus more on the food, which I think is "just ok". For what you get it's expensive compared to other places. I haven't been there for breakfast but I heard it's good.
