Riverview Pavilion Park (Wangjiang Lou Gongyuan)

Riverview Pavilion Park (Wangjiang Lou Gongyuan) Review

The four-story wooden pavilion in Riverview Pavilion Park, dating from the Qing Dynasty, offers splendid views of the Fu River and the surrounding countryside. The poet Xue Tao, who lived in Chengdu during the Tang Dynasty, was said to have spent time near the river, from which she apparently drew water to make paper for her poems. The pavilion stands amid more than 150 species of bamboo, a plant revered by the poet.
