Lijiang Impression
Lijiang Impression Review
The most impressive cultural event is Lijiang Impression, produced by director Zhang Yimou (2008 Beijing Olympics opening ceremony, Red Sorghum, Raise the Red Lantern). Zhang takes Lijiang's Dongba culture and beautiful surroundings as his muse. Set at the base of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and using the mountain as an integral part of the scenery, this music and dance performance makes full use of its spectacular location. The show takes place daily at 1:20 pm, and costs Y190-Y260, depending on how close to the front you want to be.
