The harsh, dry climate is probably the most important danger to be aware of; temperatures here have reached 50 °C (120 °F) in the height of summer, and have fallen to -28.9 °C (-20 °F) in winter. Drink plenty of water in hot months, slather on that sunscreen, and stay in the shade.
