Isolated at the tip of Willingdon Island, this grand hotel offers a heritage sensibility and style, and absolute luxury. The lobby has a stunning carved-wood ceiling and a similarly styled bar with a harbor view. The Heritage Wing dates to 1935, and its rooms are resplendant with wood floors and Kerala-style furnishings. The newer Tower Wing reflects a similar style, with the addition of large, windowed bathrooms, so you can shower with a sea view. The top-notch ayurvedic spa is worth a visit.
