Sandwiched between the roar of the Arabian Sea and the ripple of a backwater lagoon, this basic resort north of Kovalam—accessible only by boat—has ayurvedic treatments and plenty of quiet as its main draws. Midsize rooms in a whitewashed, one-story building are simply furnished and well maintained, with private sit-outs (patios) facing the lagoon. A two-minute walk gets you to the public beach.
