Jawahar Niwas Palace Review
Still owned by the Maharaja of Jaisalmer, this elegant palace, with spectacular views of the fort, has a kind of faded charm that some find appealing, while its large rooms and old-style furniture hint at past glories. It was built in 1899, and, as far as grandeur, heritage, and history goes, it could have been one of the best places to stay in Jaisalmer had not a degree of negligence on the part of its owners allowed it to run low on maintainence and service. That said, it's reasonably priced. The restaurant serves multicuisine food.
