Tegal Sari Review

You can't stay any closer to Bali's famed rice fields than at Tegal Sari. Paths wind through paddies to rooms set in gardens of orchid and lotus blossoms. Bright, nonsmoking rooms (puff away on terraces overlooking waves of grain) have Bali-accented furniture, kettle, mini-bar, safe, and modern bathroom with tub. Free

services include property-wide Wi-Fi, drinking water dispensers to refill your bottles, and three-hour bicycle rentals. Add-ons like beer and massages come cheap. The location is an outer hub of Ubud, loaded with restaurants, a 15- to 20-minute walk or short ride via free shuttle to the village center.
