The Beer: Hokkaido has the Sapporo Beer brewery and local microbreweries in Otaru and Hakodate.

The Slopes: Deep powder and uncrowded lift lines are hallmarks of Hokkaido's ski resorts at Niseko, Rusutsu, and Furano.
