Sannen-zaka and Ninen-zaka

Sannen-zaka and Ninen-zaka Review

With their cobbled paths and delightful wooden buildings, these two lovely winding streets are the finest extant examples of Old Kyoto. This area is one of four historic preservation districts in the city, and the shops along the way sell snacks, souvenirs, and local crafts like pottery, dolls, and bamboo baskets. From Kiyomizu-dera turn right halfway down Kiyomizu-zaka.
