Maehama Beach

Maehama Beach Review

Maehama, or as you may see on local signs, "Yonaha Maehama," is regarded by many as Japan's best beach, and it lives up to its reputation. White sand stretches for miles on a smooth, shallow shelf extending far into the warm, clear water. Take on your friends or the locals at beach volleyball; there can be fewer better locations in the world to play a game. A tiny slice of Maehama can keep you entertained all day, but it actually stretches for 7 km (4 mi). At the Tokyu Resort are water-sports equipment rentals and a marina. The beach is 25 minutes from Hirara via bus.
