The fearless, meat-loving gourmet should stop here. Fatty raw beef tongue sushi and sashimi—served with a hint of wasabi—that melt smoothly in the mouth are served here. For ¥1,510 you get the full cow's-tongue set: grilled and seasoned with miso, soy sauce, or salt; a tasty bowl of oxtail soup; and a healthful mix of steamed rice and barley. Substitute skewers of chicken or sirloin for the tongue if you're less adventurous. Earthen walls, dark passages, and intimate lighting conjure up a romantic setting. It's a few minutes' walk from the station, at the entrance of the Clis Road/ Hapina Nakaka-cho (Chuo-dori) arcade, on the second floor—look for the red sign with the black cow's head.
