Hotel Metropolitan Yamagata Review

Yamagata's best-located upscale hotel is on your right as you exit the east side of the station. It caters, therefore, to many busy corporate travelers from Tokyo and other big cities. The lounge is spacious; room decor is snappy and stylish with gray carpeting and red curtains. The staff is breezily efficient. The fancy Mogami-tei restaurant on the second floor features Teppan grills and Yamagata beef steaks. Ask for a room on the 10th or 11th floor; these were more recently renovated. Higher-floor rooms have views you won't want to turn away from. To top things off, you're within walking distance of the best downtown restaurants.
