Akasaka Prince Hotel

Fodor's Review:

Rooms from the 20th to the 30th floor of this hotel, designed by world-renowned architect Kenzo Tange, offer the best views of the city, especially at night. A white-and-pale-gray color scheme accentuates the light from the wide windows that run the length of the rooms. This affords a feeling of spaciousness, though the rooms -- oddly shaped because of Tange's attempt to give every accommodation a "corner" location -- are a bit small compared to those in other deluxe hotels. The marble and off-white reception areas on the ground floor are pristine -- maybe even a bit sterile.

  • Hotel Details: 693 rooms, 68 suites
  • In-room: refrigerator, Internet.
  • In-hotel: 9 restaurants, room service, bars, pool, laundry service, no-smoking rooms.
  • Credit Cards: AE, DC, MC, V
  • Subway: Ginza and Marunouchi subway lines, Akasaka-mitsuke Station (Exit 7)
