This hotel near the train station has a refreshingly cool and spacious marble-floor lobby. The rooms, although not distinguished, are clean and filled with modern furnishings. For the best views, choose a room overlooking the river. Because Ayutthaya has few overnight visitors, try to negotiate a discounted rate. Rates include a buffet breakfast (it's a Thai interpretation of an "American breakfast"). The hotel also operates river cruises.
