Apple Retreat and Guesthouse Review

Owners Apple and Noi, of Apple's Restaurant, moved their clean and friendly guesthouse, along with Apple's Restaurant, to a new location in 2008. Rooms face a central courtyard. They also opened a 16-room boutique hotel, Apple's Retreat, on the opposite riverbank in November 2008. The owners teach a one-day Thai cooking course, which starts off with a market visit by bicycle and ends with six prepared dishes. Apple runs two-day treks (minimum four people; B2,950 per person) that include a stay in a Karen village. They can also pick you up at the train or bus station.
