Doo Rae
Doo Rae Review
While there are many authentic Korean restaurants in Sukhumvit Plaza, this unpretentious spot is one of the best. Even though there are three stories of tables, there's often a wait, even at 9 pm on a weeknight. Barbecue—you cook the meat yourself over a grill at your table—featuring hearty bulgogi (thin slices of beef in a tasty marinade) is a good way to go, as are the substantial tofu stews. Drinks include a larger selection of sake and soju (a rice-based drink similar to vodka, but with a lower alcohol content) than you'll find elsewhere in the city.
