Getting Here and Around

The bus is the most convenient way to get here from Bangkok. Buses leave hourly from the Southern Bus Terminal; the trip takes three hours and costs about B150. Minivans (B200) travel to Hua Hin from Bangkok's Khao San Road or Victory Monument and are generally faster than buses, though some operators may try to squeeze in too many passengers, making the journey uncomfortable. If you really want to explore, you can rent a car, but it's not imperative that you have one.
