Fulay Guesthouse Review

This unique guesthouse is built on a pier that juts out over the Gulf. The Cape Cod-blue planks of the pier match the color of the trim around the whitewashed walls; rooms have kitschy (or tacky, depending on your taste) touches like seashell-framed mirrors and sand-encrusted lamps. Two large private houses claim prime real estate toward the end of the pier, with private wooden decks ideal for sipping afternoon drinks or watching the sun rise. If you prefer not to sleep to the sound of the sea beneath your bed, opt for the more modern but reasonably priced Fulay Hotel across the street. Only the more expensive rooms have air-conditioning, but it's an easy cost to justify.
