Lampang
Bus Travel
Buses from Chiang Mai to Lampang (stopping at the Elephant Conservation Center) leave every half hour from near the Tourism Authority of Thailand office on the road to Lamphun. Lampang's bus station is 2 km (1 mi) south of the city, just off the main highway to Bangkok. Faster VIP buses from Bangkok to Chiang Mai—operated by various companies—stop at Lampang; they leave Chiang Mai's Arcade Bus Station about every hour throughout the day. Fares from Chiang Mai range from about B40 to B150.
