If you're visiting Lampang's main temple (Wat Lampang Luang)—and it's a must—a tour of the extensive ensemble will certainly give you an appetite, and the Rim Wang is conveniently located just 2 km (1 mi) one mile down the main 1034 highway, in the village of Ko Kha. The simple Thai restaurant sits on the banks of the Wang River, so fresh fish is a daily special. But try the plump fish cakes or a crispy version of larb, a popular minced pork-based dish.
