J. W. Marriott Resort & Spa Review

Wow. This secluded resort offers the longest stretch of sand on the island. It has luxurious rooms with impeccable classic Thai design and an unbeatable spa with amenities that meet or exceed those in the guest rooms. The Marriott is the only thing on this beach, but it has everything you need and then some, including the flagship spa of Marriott Asia and a cooking school.

    J. W. Marriott Resort & Spa Review

Stayed here for my Thailand & Cambodia Trip in January 2010. My family every enjoyed our stayed at the JW Marriott Resort Phuket its was right picked by our Global Travel Cambodia. Pristine nature reserve feel. The discreet architecture and lack of tall gaudy structures, made us feel that we were anywhere but at a Marriott resort. They've done a great job of creating a luxurious environment, whilst preserving the natural landscape.

Our rooms TERRACE VIEW were nicely appointed on the first floor. Made leaving and coming very convenient and offered beautiful views of the tropical gardens from our sliding glass door. Maid service was prompt and meticulous.

Beach bar. Out of the blue bar has couch beds where you can listen to waves as you lie back, fires alight, and sip your happy hour cocktail.

The pools are also one of the outstanding features of the resort. There are 3 of them. Each one has its own unique design, features and ambiance. Individually they are all better than at any other resort I've stayed in. My favorite was the blue pool because it was quieter and was more elevated, thus giving you a view of the ocean as you are swimming.

The sea is rough at this side of Phuket, so you can't swim in it. The beach is lovely and clean. No beach chairs on the beach. The sun was hot and it certainly would have been nice to have some Marriott umbrella's to provide shade at the beach, it is great for nice long walks. We were able to walk to several family owned restaurants in the area for authentic Thai food. The hotel, however, did have lots of good choices for a little higher price.

All and all, very peaceful and relaxing resort! We had a highly enjoyable stay!
