Patong has a reputation for its happening nightlife, and the seedy side of it is easily avoidable. Some of the more tasteful nightlife venues are on Thaweewong Road, including Saxophone, a branch of the legendary Bangkok jazz and blues bar, and the neighboring Rock City, both of which provide live music nightly, and a number of pubs and bars, some of which have live music and other shows.
