The Ginger Room
The Ginger Room Review
A regular haunt of politicians and journalists, the sensitively restored private members' dining room of old Parliament House is comfortable and elegant, and offers fine dining at affordable prices. The contemporary seasonal menu offers Asian-influenced dishes like chilli crab, coconut, kaffir lime, and betel leaf. The high quality of the food makes the two-course (A$59) and three-course (A$69) options particularly good deals. The seven-course degustation (A$99) is also good value. The wine list is judged to be Canberra's best.
