A spacious dining room and modern decor add verve to this restaurant overlooking peaceful Kingston's Green Square. Here, above the gardens, Asian flavorings shake up the Mod-Oz menu in such dishes as garlic-and-chili squid sautéed in olive oil with parsley and onions, or fried fish fillet with watercress and red-pepper salsa. Milder seasonings are used for the baked chicken breast, marinated in Indian spices and served with dal. There's an extensive list of wines by the glass.
