$$, Cafe, Carlton
Fodor's Review:
This Romanesque bakery is still just as heavenly as when it opened nearly 30 years ago; it's still filled with perfect biscotti and mouthwatering cakes. More substantial pastas and risottos have recently been added to the menu, and you can finish off your lunch with a tremendous espresso and cornetto con crema (custard-filled croissant). Dinner is served in the attached, stylish restaurant every night except Sunday. City workers can now enjoy all these sweet delights with the opening of a branch in Flinders Lane.
