Getting Here and Around

Sydney is well served by public transport. Buses travel from a base in Circular Quay through the city center to the inner suburbs of Kings Cross, Darlinghurst, and Surry Hills and to the eastern suburb beaches. Trains travel from Central Station through the city on a circle line (calling at Circular Quay and Town Hall), out to Bondi Junction, over the bridge to the north shore and out to the west. Ferries leave Circular Quay for Manly, Balmain, Darling Harbor, and other suburbs, while the free 555 shuttle bus does a circuit through the city, calling at the main sights.
