Leura House Review

This guesthouse, which dates back to 1890, is said to be Leura's first. It's had a colorful past as both a large family home with various extensions added over the years, and also as a convent (you'll notice religious statues in the gardens). The new owners who took over in 2010 are gradually updating all rooms and the three-bedroom cottage, adding flat-screen TVs and new soft furnishings. Each of the 11 rooms is charming, spacious, and unique; many have access to either a private or shared veranda. Ground floor rooms suit those who don't want to tackle the staircases, and the house is an easy 10-minute walk to Leura's lovely main shopping street.
