This property, nestled in the hills above the valley, might tempt you to forget about wine tasting for a few days. The peaceful sounds of birds and wind in the eucalyptus leaves are that soothing (though the occasional kangroo jumping by the window will rustle you from your slumber). Each of the three villas (for couples) and two cottages (for four or six people) has a modern open plan and floor-to-ceiling windows affording expansive valley views. All are luxurious yet comfortable with fine bed linens, in-room hot tubs, large TVs, DVD libraries, iPod docking stations, wood-burning fireplaces and a gas barbecue for use the outside deck, along with reclining lounges. The newest villa, the Vue, has in-floor heating for a really cozy stay. You can be picked up for your helicopter flight (to whisk you to a nearby winery for lunch) near the front door. A generous breakfast hamper with free-range eggs, bacon, orange juice, breads, and a selection of teas and coffees is provided on arrival, along with a bottle of wine.
