The Himilayan Cafe

The Himilayan Cafe Review

Clusters of pendant lanterns and colorful Buddhist prayer flags welcome you to the Himalayan Cafe, one of Brisbane's most popular inner-city eats. At this Tibetan/Nepalese sanctuary, the homemade entrée breads are perhaps as famous as the restaurant itself—divinely moist and fluffy, each is served with a minted yogurt dipping sauce in the traditional Himalayan style. When it comes to mains, there's something for everyone, from vegans and vegetarians to the most unswayable meat lovers: spicy noodle soups, tofu and vegetable curries, and succulent, tender lamb, beef, chicken and goat dishes in a range of flavors and intensities. For an extra treat, ask for a seat out back in one of the traditional Himalayan raised restaurant rooms.
