Capers at the Beach Bar/Grill Review
Tables spill out across terra-cotta tiles at this busy waterside restaurant in the Airlie Beach Hotel, part of a complex that also includes kid-friendly Mangrove Jack's (good for pizzas and steaks) and Tex-Mex-style Cactus Jack's. Capers' mainstream Mod-Oz menu covers all bases, from Wagyu steak to barramundi to Aussie game. If you're game, try the crocodile tail, kangaroo, and emu skewers. A Bloody Mary and the tapas, though, may be your best bet. Plenty of alfresco tables mean you can sit outside on balmy nights, even if you haven't booked.
