Peppers Ruffles Lodge Review

The immaculate, architect-designed luxury lodge is 5 km (3 mi) from Dreamworld, but its tranquil location makes it seem worlds away. Set high on a hill in manicured gardens, five private villas, three tree houses, and an executive lodge suite with an expansive separate living room have views to the Gold Coast beaches and high-rises as well as the surrounding bushland. The tree houses have their own plunge pools; the spacious spa villas and executive lodge suite have wood-burning fireplaces, hot tubs, plasma TVs, and high-speed Internet connections. Owners John and Jan Nicholls create a warm, comfortable environment, with a choice of dinner-party-style or private meals in the main lodge's view-rich, sleekly refurbished dining room. Pre-dinner drinks, hors d'oeuvres, and a three-course a la carte dinner are A$70 per person. Between meals, get pampered at Ruffles' tranquil day spa.
