Islington Hotel Review

Built in 1847, this elegant Regency mansion was converted to a five-star luxury boutique hotel, and is now considered to be one of the finest in Australia. Set in an acre of landscaped gardens (complete with a Heritage-listed willow tree more than 100 years old) and with breathtaking views of Mt. Wellington, the property incorporates 11 rooms in total, including the fantasy-like garden suites. The common areas include a dramatic marble floor and glass conservatory and a library with elegant bookshelves, fireplaces, and formal dining table. All guest suites have been furnished with a blend of antique and modern interior features and eclectic collections of art. Full breakfasts are included in your room rate. A private chef is available to guests Wednesday through Saturday for dinner.
