Getting Here and Around

From Darwin it's a two- to three-hour drive along the Arnhem Highway east to the entrance to the park at Bowali Visitor Center. Although four-wheel-drive vehicles are not necessary to travel to the park, they are required for many of the unpaved roads within, including the track to Jim Jim Falls. Entry is free, but you must buy a $25 National Park permit, which is good for 14 days.
