Sails in the Desert Review

Architectural shade sails, ghost-gum-fringed lawns, Aboriginal art, and numerous facilities distinguish this upscale hotel option. Rooms are located in three-tiered blocks that frame the white-tiled pool, which extends out from a busy reception area with a tour desk and Aboriginal art gallery. Step out of your richly colored gold, green, and midnight-blue room onto a private balcony overlooking either the huge, lawn-surrounded pool area or the garden.

Motel at a Ritz-Carlton price

the rooms in this hotel in addition to feeling very much like a motel 6, were infested with ants and other crawling creatures. i understand that this is in the middle of the desert, but seems like the cleanliness of the rooms could have been better, particularly for the cost. in addition, no turn down service was provided at night and it is definitely not a hotel to which i would return. on the positive side, the pool area was quite appealing and the restaurant, while very expensive had excellent food and very good service. they probably know that people come to visit once and only stay one or two nights and the accommodations reflect this fact.

Not bad

It was a nice hotel, you can't expect too much for out in the middle of the desert. The rooms were small, but well serviced. The staff was friendly, it was good for several days.
