Lasseters Hotel Casino Review

A popular place thanks to the great views of the MacDonnell Ranges from guest rooms and the nightlife provided by the adjacent casino, Lasseters is about to emerge as the most luxurious resort in Alice Springs following a A$35 million upgrade. Four of the 11 stages of development have already been completed, with the other stages to be finished throughout 2013 and early 2014. As of January 2013 a new hotel wing with 66 rooms and reception have opened, together with a new resort pool. Other enhancements, to open over the next months, are a VIP gaming lounge and bar, and a 180-seat contemporary Australian restaurant. The entire resort will have a sleek design to complement the Alice Springs natural environment while ecologically sustainable building practices, which reduce energy and water consumption, are being employed. For those who want to escape the ringing of the slot machines, the new pool is ideal for lounging, or you can borrow a bicycle to explore the expansive property by pedal power. The adjoining casino is a big part of Alice Springs' nightlife, and is an ideal place to mingle with the locals.
