Safety and Precautions

You are unlikely to have any personal safety concerns in the Margaret River area, except, perhaps, on the roads. Many of the roads leading to the wineries, the beaches, and your accommodation are narrow and winding, though traffic is usually light. While the roads are mostly paved, driveways into properties are often gravel roads, which need to be negotiated with care. As a precaution, you should avoid leaving expensive items, such as cameras, in your car when parked at attractions or overnight at accommodation.
