Ford Street Review
A stroll along Ford Street is the best way to absorb the town's character. Among the distinguished buildings are Tanswell's Commercial Hotel, the Town Hall, and the Courthouse. It was in the latter that the committal hearing for the famous bushranger Ned Kelly took place in August 1880. His feisty mother, Ellen Kelly, was also sentenced to three years in jail at this court.
