Mt. Buffalo National Park

Mt. Buffalo National Park Review

Mt. Buffalo National Park is a perfect day trip from Beechworth or the towns of Myrtleford and Porepunkah. Its highest points—Anderson Peak and the Horn—both top 5,000 feet. The park is full of fascinating granite formations, waterfalls, and animal and plant life. There are many more miles of walking tracks than you're likely to cover. The gorge walk is particularly scenic. Lake Cantani has swimming and a camping area. In winter it's covered in snow, and is a haven for cross-country skiers and tobogganers.
