Getting Here and Around
Halls Gap (the base town for the Grampians National Park) is reached via Ballarat and Ararat on the Western Highway (Highway 8). The town is 260 km (162 mi) northwest of Melbourne, 97 km (60 mi) northeast of Hamilton, 140 km (87 mi) west of Ballarat. V/Line operates trains to Ballarat from Melbourne. V/Line buses connect with the trains to take passengers to Halls Gap. For timetables and fares, contact V/Line.
