Getting Here and Around

Healesville, on the eastern side of the Yarra Valley, is 65 km (40 mi) from Melbourne. Take the Eastern Freeway from Melbourne to its junction with the Maroondah Highway and follow the signs to Lilydale and on to Healesville. Trains, operated by Metro, travel from central Melbourne to Lilydale, and McKenzie's buses connect Lilydale with Yarra Glen and Healesville. It's advisable to have a car to explore the wineries, or take a half-day or full-day tour. Most tours will pick you up at your hotel.
