Fodor's Review:
Auckland's main bazaar, Victoria Park Market, consists of 2 1/2 acres of clothing, footwear, sportswear, furniture, souvenirs, and crafts at knockdown prices. Be sure to stop by From N to Z (09/377-2447) for Kiwi icons such as plastic tomato-shape ketchup dispensers and hand-carved bone and greenstone pendants. The market is housed in the city's former garbage incinerator, and is open daily from 9-6. On a terrace behind the market, you can recharge your batteries with a coffee at Caffetteria Allpress (Adelaide and Drake Sts. 09/369-5842).
