Tram Around Town in Christchurch

Christchurch Tramway. Due to earthquake damage the tram will not be running before mid 2012, and some of the places it visits are also closed. But once it does reopen jump on for a quick whiz round the central city sights. A ticket gives you 48 hours to hop on and off and visit many choice spots: The Canterbury Museum, where you can check out the historical development of the region; the Christchurch Art Gallery-Te Puna Wai O Waiwhetu has some exciting architecture and sculpture on the outside and interesting collections inside; and Hagley Park and Victoria Square combine leafy green walks with some history along the way.
